Alec Bohm's extra-inning homer forced a Game 3; now, the division rivals face off one last time, with everything on the line.
Philadelphia found themselves backed into a corner, but the team stepped when it mattered most. Outhitting Atlanta 12-9, the Phillies had to overcome a 3-1 deficit in the seventh - along with what initially seemed like a season-ending outfield mistake by Bryce Harper. They responded in the eighth, with back-to-back home runs from Kyle Schwarber and Bryce Harper.
Then came Bohm. Who despite having a rocky season where he batted .249 and faces impending free agency, he launched the biggest home run of his career in the 10th inning to keep the Phillies' postseason run alive for another day.
Now all eyes turn to a winner-take-all Game 3, where the Braves will look to bounce back and target the Phillies starting pitcher Aaron Nola, who hasn't looked his sharpest this year. If Atlanta wants to punch their ticket to Los Angeles, they will look to recapture the magic from Austin Riley's eighth inning Game 1 homer or rely on Ronald Acuna Jr. to deliver a star-studded performance tonight.
The first pitch is scheduled for 8:00 p.m. ET at Truist Park. Check out the batting props below, with odds provided by bet365.
