There are eight signature events in the 2026 PGA season, these limited-field events feature all the top players.
Signature Events carry higher stakes, featuring increased prize money ($20 million) and FedExCup points (700 points to winners) compared to standard tour events.
Signature Event Format
Player-hosted Signature Events: The Genesis Invitational, Arnold Palmer Invitational, and the Memorial Tournament feature a 36-hole cut to the top 50 and ties, including any player within 10 shots of the lead.
Five Remaining Signature Events: Do not have a cut (AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am, RBC Heritage, Cadillac Championship, Truist Championship, and the Travelers Championship)
How do players qualify for Signature Events?
There are six different ways players can qualify for a Signature Event.
Top 50 in the prior season's FedExCup standings
Aon Next 10: Top 10 in the FedExCup standings (non-exempt players)
Aon Swing 5: Top five highest FedExCup point earners between in season Signature Events (non-exempt players)
Current-year tournament winners (full FedExCup point events)
PGA Tour members in the top 30 in the OWGR
Sponsor exemptions: Every event offers four sponsor exemptions, an exemption for players with 80 or more PGA Tour wins, and player-hosted events earn an additional exemption (Charlie Sifford Memorial, Palmer Cup, and the Jack Nicklaus award).
