UFC Fight Night is getting an early start for fans in the United States as the Octagon makes its way to Shanghai.

UFC Shanghai features a packed card and a vital bantamweight showdown between Umar Nurmagomedov vs. Song Yadong in the main event at the Oriental Sports Center in Pudong District China.

The main card will begin at 6:00 a.m. ET on Saturday, August 29. Fans can stream the event on Paramount+.

There is a lot at stake for both athletes heading into their bantamweight main event at UFC Shanghai. A decisive win could carry massive title-shot implications in the 135-pound division.

Both athletes want to move to the front of the line for the next championship opportunity. Umar Nurmagomedov is looking to make his way back toward a title shot after losing to Merab Dvalishvili at UFC 311.

Song is currently China's highest-ranked male UFC contender, a victory over Nurmagomedov would stand as the biggest win of his career so far.

This weekend's co-main event features a clash between two ranked strawweights. While Chinese veteran Yan Xiaonan has been a top contender for years, her loss to champion Zhang Weili at UFC 300 has complicated her path back to a title opportunity.

Despite coming off a loss to Virna Jandiroba, Xiaonan remains undefeated in China, having won her three previous fights there.

Denise Gomes enters on a four-fight winning streak having won six of her last seven bouts, a victory here would be the biggest of her career.
