With the NHL on the verge of entering the Stanley Cup Playoffs, the Colorado Avalanche are favored to lift the Stanley Cup.

The Colorado Avalanche (+300) are favorites to win the Stanley Cup for the second time in five years, and the first time since 2022.

Led by Hart Trophy candidate Nathan Mackinnon and James Norris Trophy candidate Cale Makar, the Avalanche have the best record in the NHL and only lost nine games at home in regulation.

The Tampa Bay Lightning (+425) have the second best odds to win the cup, and after reaching three finals in a row between 2020-2022, they have not been back for three consecutive seasons.

The Lightning won 20 of their 22 games before the Olympic break on the back of remarkable play from Russian stars Nikita Kucherov and Andrei Vasilevskiy, and own the fifth best record in the NHL.

The Carolina Hurricanes (+475), and Dallas Stars (+1000) are the only other teams with odds shorter than +1000.

The Canes have the second best record and plus/minus in the league, and have received consistent production from up and down the lineup this season. Sebastien Aho led Carolina with 80 points.

The Vegas Golden Knights (+1100), Edmonton Oilers (+1200), Buffalo Sabres (+1600), Minnesota Wild (+1600), Ottawa Senators (+1800), and Montreal Canadiens (+2500) round out the top-10 odds.

The Montreal Canadiens (+2500) have won the most Stanley Cups in NHL history (24), but the neither the Habs or any Canadian based team has won the cup since 1993.

The Florida Panthers have won back-to-back cups but did not qualify for the playoffs in 2026, while the Oilers will look to win their first cup since 1990 after losing to the Panthers two years in a row.
