Philadelphia Union vs. Inter Miami Prediction & Best Bets

Philadelphia Union host current MLS champions Inter Miami at Subaru Park on Wednesday as they look to make it back-to-back league wins for just the second time in 2026.

The Union secured a stunning comeback victory over New York City last time out. Trailing 2-0 at the interval, goals from Danley Jean Jacques and a brace from Bruno Damiani saw the away side eventually win 3-2.

For Inter Miami, however, things weren’t quite as rosy. Guillermo Angel Hoyos’ side suffered their third defeat in a row, going down 4-1 to Nashville in MLS.

That defeat means Miami trails Nashville by five points in the Eastern Conference, but it looks as though a playoff berth is all but confirmed.

Philadelphia Union vs. Inter Miami betting picks and predictions

Over 3.5 goals (-125)

Recent meetings between these sides suggest this clash will feature goals, and plenty of them.

Indeed, the last game between the Union and Miami to feature fewer than three goals came way back in March 2023.

Since then, five of the seven meetings have seen four or more goals scored, including a thrilling 6-4 win for Inter Miami in May this year.

Four of Philadelphia’s seven matches since that 10-goal thriller have also featured four or more goals.

During the same period, five of Miami’s seven games have produced four or more goals, with just one contest featuring fewer than two goals.

Taking all that into account, Wednesday’s contest at Subaru Park should be an open and entertaining affair.

Luis Suarez to score anytime (+130)

Luis Suarez has been in superb form of late as he looks to propel Inter Miami towards the playoffs.

Across 15 MLS matches this season, the Uruguayan has scored 10 goals. Three of those came during the opening 10 games of the league season, but since then, the 39-year-old has hit top form.

Indeed, he netted a hat-trick against Philadelphia in the 6-4 win before following up with two goals in the victory over Chicago and one each against Montreal and Columbus.

He failed to continue his fine form against Nashville last time out, but a chance to add to his tally against the Union will spur him on.

This could well be Suarez’ final year for Miami, especially as he will turn 40 before the 2027 season gets underway. As such, the former Barcelona forward will be determined to go out with a bang so expect plenty more goals from him between now and the end of the season.

Inter Miami to win and both teams to score (+260)

Inter Miami have won five of their last six meetings with the Union, a run that dates back to June 2023.

In all five of those victories, both teams have found the back of the net. Indeed, the last time either side won this tie and kept a clean sheet came in March 2023.

The Herons will be looking to move on from their humbling defeat to Nashville as swiftly as possible and can take great confidence from their recent record against the Union.

The home side will take pride in their recent form, losing just one MLS game since mid May – ironically against Miami – and they will be tricky opponents for Lionel Messi and Co.

Securing a first win in four games, however, is on the cards for the away side.
