Lucas Herbert is picking up right where he left off at Royal Birkdale. After making history tying the lowest single round record in a major championship, he shot an 11-under 61 in his opening round at JCB Golf Club & Country Club. He is the solo leader heading into tomorrow's second round.
Another notable name from the Open Championship and a favorite heading into LIV Golf UK is Bryson DeChambeau. He had a strong opening round, carding an 8-under 64 on Thursday, and currently sits second on the leaderboard.
With only three rounds of golf remaining, there is still plenty of time for the leaderboard to change, but every player in the field is chasing a share of the $30 million purse.
