Lamine Yamal enters Spain's Round of 32 matchup carrying plenty of expectations.
The left-footed winger suffered a hamstring injury in the lead-up to the 2026 World Cup, delaying his tournament debut.
However, it did not take long for the 18-year-old sensation to make his mark. Yamal scored his first World Cup goal just 10 minutes into Spain's Group H match against Saudi Arabia, finding the back of the net in the nation's second match of the tournament.
He became the eighth-youngest player to score at the World Cup. Yamal enters the Round of 32 match against Austria as one of the team's most dangerous attacking threats.
With a place in the Round of 16 on the line, Spain will be counting on the teenage star to create scoring opportunities.
The match will be played at the Los Angeles Stadium, with kickoff scheduled for 3:00 PM ET, 12:00 PM PT.
