LAFC play host to Chivas Guadalajara in an enticing Leagues Cup match-up at the BMO Stadium on Thursday.

This will be the first meeting between the two sides and while it might be early stages in the Leagues Cup, don’t expect either team to give much away.
Home advantage could well give LAFC the edge, but this Guadalajara side finished second in the 2026 Clausura season, winning the most games out of any side with 11.
Both LAFC and Guadalajara were forced to share the spoils in their previous domestic matches respectively.
During the 2025 Leagues Cup, LAFC drew two of their three league matches, while Guadalajara drew one of their first three games at this stage.
As such, expect this to be a tight affair which has the potential to be decided by a penalty shootout after a tie at full-time.
