Seattle Sounders kick off the defence of their Leagues Cup crown with a trip to Mexico to face Toluca on Wednesday night.
The tournament, which was founded in 2019, sees teams from the MLS and Liga MX go head-to-head in the battle for North America supremacy.
Seattle Sounders defeated Inter Miami in last year’s final, while the Red Devils reached the quarter-finals where they lost to Orlando City on penalties.
Wednesday’s meeting is one of four Phase One games taking place in Mexico as the country hosts matches in this competition for the first time.

Toluca come into the game having defeated Necaxa 3-1 this week and currently sit third in the Liga MX table after claiming two victories in their opening three league matches.

Seattle Sounders are conceding on a regular basis and so Toluca should create plenty of scoring opportunities on Wednesday.
