Newly acquired Denver Broncos wide receiver Jaylen Waddle walked off the field during the middle of practice and did not return today, but all signs are pointing to his health not being an issue moving forward.
Head coach Sean Payton said Waddle will "be fine" after he left practice with muscle tightness, per DNVR's Zac Stevens. Stevens also reported that a source told him Waddle will be "good."

I'm told by a source that Waddle will be "good."
Appears the Broncos avoided something serious with their star WR.https://t.co/TqZYG1PiaR
Waddle, 27, was brought in for multiple picks, including the Broncos' 2026 first-round pick, in hopes of sparking an offense that has lacked a star playmaker since Payton was hired in 2023. By all accounts and measures, he's played very well in training camp so far, and an injury would put a dent into the Broncos' hopes.
The former Dolphin caught 64 passes for 910 yards and six touchdowns with miserable quarterback play last year and should put up numbers that replicate his first three seasons in the league when he started his career with three-straight 1,000+ yard seasons.
His elite speed and hands over the middle of the field will complement Courtland Sutton well and could perhaps take Bo Nix and the offense to another level in 2026.
