The stage is set for the Copa Sudamericana Round of 16, with the matchups now finalized following the conclusion of the playoff round.
The two-legged ties are scheduled to take place during the weeks of August 12th and 19th. Teams that finished higher in the group stage will have the advantage of playing the second leg at home. Conversely, clubs that dropped down from the Copa Libertadores will play the decisive second leg away.

Similar to the Copa Libertadores, the Sudamericana features a pre-determined bracket for the knockout stages.
This means if São Paulo advances past Bolivar, they will face the winner of the Boca Juniors vs. Deportivo Recoleta tie. Likewise, should Botafogo overcome Cienciano, their quarterfinal opponent will be either Tigre or Montevideo City Torque.
