Casemiro is in advanced talks with Inter Miami of MLS with his contract at Manchester United expiring.
Brazilian National Team midfielder Casemiro's four-year stint at Manchester United is coming to and end, and a move to MLS feels imminent.
Casemiro has endured a very success career in Europe, playing 648 games for four different clubs. Casemiro is a five time UEFA Champions League winner with Real Madrid, and one of the most notable and physical defensive midfielders of his generation.
Casemiro, 34, is now in the final stage of contract talks with Inter Miami just days after being named to Brazil's 2026 World Cup roster. 2026 will Casemiro's third World Cup tournament, and kick off the next stage of his career.
Many legends of the game have joined MLS at the end of their careers, including David Beckham, Andrea Pirlo, David Villa, and Frank Lampard. More recently, Lionel Messi, Thomas Muller, and Antoine Griezmann have done the same.
Casemiro would be a great fit for Inter Miami who are looking for a Sergio Busquets replacement in the defensive midfield after the Spaniard retired last season. Casemiro still has a lot to offer in MLS, with the Brazilian scoring nine goals in 34 premier League matches this past season.
If Casemiro is to sign with Miami, he would join Messi and Rodrigo De Paul in South Florida and solidify the club as the favorites to win a second MLS Cup in back-to-back seasons.
Fabrizio Romano reported that Casemiro only wants Inter Miami, and is expected to make the transfer official soon.
