Lionel Scaloni has officially named his roster for the 2026 World Cup with hopes of becoming the first back-to-back champions since Brazil in 1958 and 1962.
Lionel Messi is joined by six players from Atletico Madrid on the Argentina National Team roster, and his current Inter Miami teammate and former Atletico midfielder Rodrigo De Paul.
Scaloni has named a veteran roster, with Nico Paz and Valentin Barco being youngest members of the squad at 21-years-old.
The Argentine manager will be hopeful that a similar roster to the 2022 Qatar World Cup will have the experience and understanding of how to win the tournament for a second time.

Will a soccer powerhouse such as Argentina, there are nearly always going to be big names left out of the squad.
The biggest names include UEFA Europa League winner, Emiliano Buendia, Premier League defender Marco Senesi, and young budding stars Gianluca Prestianni and Franco Mastantuono.
37-year-old Angel Di Maria also did not get a call back due to retiring from international football after winning the 2022 World Cup, and 2024 Copa America with his nation.
Juan Foyth will also miss the tournament this summer due to a ruptured left Achilles.
