Branden Grace set the record when he shot a 62 at Royal Birkdale in 2017. It was the first time any player broke 63 in a men's major championship.
Louis Oosthuizen holds the record for the lowest 36-hole score, he shot an 11-under par (64-65, 129) at Royal St George's in 2021.
