Heart of Midlothian football club, more commonly known as Hearts, were founded in 1874 and compete in the Scottish Premiership, the highest league in Scottish football.
Playing their home games at Tynecastle Park in Edinburgh, Hearts' name originated from Walter Scott's novel The Heart of Midlothian (1818) and their crest is modelled on the Heart of Midlothian mosaic on the city's Royal Mile.
Hearts are four-time champions of Scotland, but their last league success dates back to 1960. The Jambos have also won the Scottish League Cup four times and the Scottish Cup eight times, achieving their last trophy in the competition in 2012.
