With Vincent Kompany reportedly set for some time away from the Bayern Munich dugout, questions have been asked over who will cover for his absence.
Bayern have already played one Bundesliga match since their manager stood down due to medical issues, a game which saw them defeat Freiburg 3-1.
With Der Klassiker looming just around the corner, let's take a look at who will be in the Bayern Munich dugout ahead of the crucial match this weekend.
While there has currently been no official timeline for Vincent Kompany to be back the Bayern Munich dugout, the Bundesliga champions stated that it would be "weeks rather than days" before the former Manchester City defender returns.
Bayern Munich assistant manager Aaron Danks will be the acting manager of the Bundesliga outfit in Vincent Kompany's absence, having already overseen one match since the Belgian was taken ill.
Aaron Danks is an English coach, who is currently assistant manager at Bayern Munich.
During his short coaching career to date, Danks managed both West Brom and Birmingham City's academy sides, before he spent four years with England's youth sides.
He became assistant manager to Vincent Kompany first at Anderlecht, before joining Dean Smith's backroom team at Aston Villa in 2021.
Following Steven Gerrard's dismissal in 2022, Danks took over the role as caretaker manager for the Villans, managing two Premier League matches, before joining Middlesbrough as assistant manager to Michael Carrick.
Danks then followed Kompany to Bayern Munich in 2023 and has served as assistant manager ever since.
