Jobe Bellingham has received his first senior international call-up ahead of England's Nations League fixtures later this month.
There were no shortage of talking points on Friday morning as Thomas Tuchel revealed his squad that will face Croatia next Thursday before taking on Spain on the Sunday.
Cole Palmer was the most notable absence, with the Chelsea talisman missing out once again despite an impressive start to the season at Stamford Bridge.
Tuchel has opted to look to the future with both Josh King and Bellingham named in the squad for the first time.
The younger Bellingham has been in great form in recent weeks, and has served as an integral component as Niko Kovac's Dortmund side currently sit level on points with Bayern Munich at the top of the Bundesliga.
In doing so, the Bellingham brothers have the opportunity to become just the 22nd set of brothers to represent the Three Lions at senior level.
Of the nearly two dozen sets of brothers to represent England at full international level, the vast majority came prior to the start of the 20th century.
The last time two brothers actually shared the pitch for the Three Lions was back in February 2007 when Steve McClaren named Gary and Phil Neville on either side of a back four in a 1-0 defeat by Spain.
While the game would mark the last time to date that two brothers have played alongside each other for England, another set of brothers have since separately been called up to the national team.
In October 2018 Nathaniel Chalobah was introduced in stoppage time of England's 3-2 win over Spain in the Nations League, with the game marking his only senior international appearance.
Nearly seven years later Nathaniel's younger brother Trevoh Chalobah would also be afforded his England bow, starting in the heart of defence as England were beaten 3-1 by Senegal at the City Ground.
