The latest member of the famed Fury boxing family will make his first step into the professional ranks this evening on the undercard of the rematch between Troy Williamson and Callum Simpson.
James Dean Fury, the cousin of former heavyweight king Tyson and nephew of trainer Peter will make his professional bow on tonight's BOXXER show in Leeds.
The 20-year-old has an extensive amateur background, and won three national competitions prior to making the decision to turn pro.
His only recorded defeat to date came on points against experienced amateur Dimeji Shittu - who recently claimed a silver medal for England at the 2026 Commonwealth Games.
The super middleweight is coached by his uncle Peter and will debut in a four-rounder as he joins his cousins Tyson, Tommy, Hughie and Roman in the pro ranks.
"I have the Fury style," James told Boxing News in 2025.
"I have a big, awkward style. I switch, I frustrate them, I don’t get hit much. I had my first bout at 12, but I didn’t really take it seriously. I stopped boxing for a year or two."
"Peter [Fury] took me in and guided me when I was 13, 14. He knew what to do with Hughie, he knew what to do with Tyson and he knows what to do with me. He isn’t training me to win amateur fights. He’s training me to be a world champion."

James Dean Fury is set to make his professional boxing debut this evening, Saturday 8 August, 2026 on the undercard of Troy Williamson vs Callum Simpson 2 in Leeds.
The event is set to get underway from the First Direct Arena with Fury set to feature as part of the televised undercard.
As such, his super middleweight fight is expected to get underway at around 19:00 BST.
