Crystal Palace are set to sign Anan Khalaili from Belgian side Union Saint-Gilloise.
A key fixture in USG's impressive 2025/26 Belgian Cup-winning side, he attracted a lot of interest from top sides all around Europe and it looks likely that he will play his club football at Selhurst Park next season.

Position
Khalaili's is has been utilised as a right wing-back and right winger.
Height, build & preferred foot
Standing at 6ft, Khalaili is of a medium build.
The 21-year-old is right-footed.
Style of play
Typical of the modern Premier League player, he is physically dominant, able to provide incredible defensive and attacking intensity all down the right hand side.
At USG, his bosses Sebastien Pocognoli and latterly David Hubert flicked between various three-at-the-back formations, something that perfectly suited Khalaili's skillset. Again, his physicality makes this possible, able to use his pace and strength in 1v1 battles to advance his team up the pitch.
He has shown remarkable career progression in such a short time, honing in on his technical abilities to go alongside his physical advantages.
Now able to play deeper and more centrally, his passing has really improved over the last year.
Exposure to UEFA Champions League football has been key to this and he took to the challenge well, netting three times in the league phase last season.
Former Lyon and Nice man Sage has been placed in charge of Crystal Palace after the departure of Oliver Glasner; his 3-4-3 suited perfectly to get the best out of a player with Khalaili's profile.

Previous clubs
Maccabi Haifi is Khalaili's only previous club.
He spent nine years coming through the academy before making his first team bow age 17. Khalaili scored 10 goals and provided a further six assists during his sole campaign in the senior side, including strikes in both the Europa League and Conference League.
After making his breakthrough, he was picked up by USG for a reported €6.5m.
International caps
Since making his Israel debut in 2023, Khalaili has amassed 16 caps for his country, his importance growing year on year despite not yet scoring his first international goal.
