Everton and Crystal Palace have reached an agreement on a deal that will see Dwight McNeil and Brennan Johnson switch clubs.
According to transfer guru Fabrizio Romano, the two players will undergo medicals at their prospective news clubs today.
Johnson, who only joined Crystal Palace from Tottenham in January for a reported club record fee of £35m, will switch Selhurst Park for the Hill Dickinson Stadium, with McNeil heading in the opposite direction.
Reports suggest that the deal is a straight swap and involves no additional fees for either club.
"Breaking: Swap deal agreed between Everton and Crystal Palace, here we go! Dwight McNeil joins #CPFC and Brennan Johnson joins #EFC, everything done and medical starting today for both," Romano detailed on X.
Since netting the winner in the 2025 Europa League final for Spurs, Johnson's career hasn't quite taken off in the way it promised to.
Across his first two seasons at Tottenham, the Wales international chalked up 29 goal contributions in the Premier League, however, only managed three last term. He made 13 league starts after moving to Palace in January, failing to score and picking up just one assist.
McNeil, who heads the other way, has seen his role reduced significantly at the Toffees over the last few years. The 26-year-old made the move to Merseyside in 2022 and started 28 and 33 Premier League games in his first two seasons respectively.
2025/26 saw him make just 14 league starts as a £20m move to Crystal Palace collapsed on deadline day last winter after a failure to finalise paperwork on time.
McNeil will join Oscar Mingueza and Takehiro Tomiyasu as new arrivals at Selhurst Park under new manager Pierre Sage after Oliver Glasner's departure to Nottingham Forest.
