The final Diamond League meeting of the regular season is in the books and the athletes who will be competing in the series finals in Brussels next month are now confirmed.
Athletes accrue points at each of the 12 qualification meetings and those with the most points at the end of the regular season advance to the all-important Diamond League Finals.
In field events, only the top six athletes progress, whereas the top eight athletes for distances between 100m-800m will contest the finals in Belgium. For those competing in 1500m and long distance events, a field of 10 will make up the showpiece.
There are some notable absentees from the finals in Brussels with reigning 100m Olympic champion Noah Lyles failing to make the cut, while the men's 1500m will not feature either mile world record holder Josh Kerr or his fabled rival Jakob Ingebrigtsen.
100m and 200m Olympic champion Sha'Carri Richardson missed out on qualification by three points, but the women's 800m delivers arguably the most stacked field of them all as Audrey Werro faces Femke Broeders-Bol, Keely Hodgkinson and Lilian Odira.
Pole vault sensation Armand Duplantis will be aiming for another world record in Brussels after flirting with a new landmark figure in the final meeting of the season in Zurich.
