Star GB athletes Keely Hodgkinson and Georgia Hunter Bell will take part in Friday's Athlos London debut.
The all-female meet takes place for the third year, changing venue from New York where the first two editions were held. Athlos 2026 was due to expand to a two-day event, but the New York meet scheduled for 2nd October was scrapped due to concerns voiced by participants that it did not fit in well with the global athletics calendar.
Athlos is the brainchild of Alexis Ohanian, the husband of tennis legend and 23-time Grand Slam winner Serena Williams.
Seven events will be contested at the StoneX Stadium, Barnet on Friday night: 100m hurdles, 100m, 200m, 400m, 800m, mile and long jump - each discipline containing six athletes each.
In addition to Hodgkinson and Hunter Bell, American sprinters Sha-Carri Richardson and Gabby Thomas will also compete, as well as 400m Olympic gold-medalist and Domincan hero Marileidy Paulino.
Athletes can earn up to £48,500 in an individual win, with £26,000 on offer for the runner-up and decreasing prize money for all four remaining places.
As well as the £48,500 top prize, athletes will be awarded a bespoke crown designed by Tiffany & Co and also offered equity in the league - the idea being that they will be reap further financial rewards if the league sees future success.
Ohanian's aim is to stage a season-long league that takes place at different locations all around the globe.
"I'm at a very fortunate place in my career in my life where I don't want to do anything small. I want to do things that have big impacts, that are about legacy," said Ohanian.
"We know we're entering into something really ambitious. This is a big moment for us."
Hodgkinson finished narrowly ahead of Hunter Bell at last year's event that saw three-time Olympic gold-medalist Faith Kipyegon take all the beating in the mile. Hunter Bell will not take on her old rival this time, instead the 32-year-old will compete in the mile in Kipyegon's absence.
