British mile world record holders as Josh Kerr makes history

Saturday's Diamond League meeting in London will go down in the history books after Britain's Josh Kerr broke a 27-year men's mile world record on a sensational afternoon of athletics.

British fans were treated to an incredible performance from one of their favourites as the 28-year-old completed the target he had called 'Project 22' back in March to reference the number of seconds standing between him and his ultimate goal.
