A biennial golf competition between Europe and USA, the Ryder Cup is never staged at the same venue for successive tournaments.
Europe and the United States alternate hosting duties for each edition of the Ryder Cup.
In 2025, hosting duties belonged to the United States, with the tournament being held at the world renowned Bethpage Black on Long Island, New York.
That means the next tournament will be hosted in Europe. The venues for five of the next six editions of the Ryder Cup have been selected, up to the 51st staging in 2037.
Home advantage is a key feature in the Ryder Cup, with Europe winning the last seven home editions in a run stretching back since 1993.
The Ryder Cup will return to Ireland in 2027 with the tournament set to take place at Adare Manor in County Limerick.
The course, which was extensively renovated in 2017, has previously hosted the Irish Open.
It will be the second time Ireland has hosted the Ryder Cup after The K Club in County Kildare entertained Europe's 18.5-9.5 victory over USA in 2006.
The 2027 Ryder Cup will be staged across the weekend of 17th-19th September 2027.
