It's hardly been a quiet summer transfer window -- certainly not for Manchester City, Chelsea or Tottenham -- but it appears to be ramping up a notch in the closing days.
Manchester City have signed Allan from Palmeiras but appear to want another winger. The Citizens were surprise contenders for Cody Gakpo, with Liverpool seemingly looking to move the Dutchman on.
But Liverpool, who've been targeting wingers themselves throughout the summer, are unwilling to sell Gakpo without signing a replacement, despite the recent arrival of Bradley Barcola.
As such, the Reds rejected a bid of around £70m for Gakpo, forcing City to look elsewhere.
The rejection has had a serious knock-on effect on other clubs. City have now turned their attentions to Everton's Iliman Ndiaye, who looked destined to join Tottenham Hotspur, with Richarlison moving the other way.
With that deal scuppered, Tottenham are now eyeing a loan deal to bring Mykhailo Mudryk to North London with the Ukrainian free to leave Stamford Bridge. Richarlison posted a statement on Instagram talking about 'returning to the club of his heart', suggesting he would prefer a move to Everton rather than remains at Tottenham.
The merry-go-round continues with Manchester City's ongoing pursuit of Enzo Fernandez. The Citizens have formally opened club-to-club talks with Chelsea, and the two clubs do come to an agreement regarding the Argentine, reports suggest Chelsea will move for Bournemouth's Alex Scott.
With the transfer window entering its final 24 hours, there are lots of moving parts with several moves still in the air.
