Former UFC welterweight champion Belal Muhammad will attempt to snap a two-fight losing streak when he takes on surging contender Gabriel Bonfim at UFC Fight Night 278 on Saturday night.
After defeating Leon Edwards to secure the title in July of 2024, Muhammad was bested by Jack Della Maddalena in his first title defence in a fight of the year contender.
Muhammad suffered back-to-back losses for the first time in his career when he was defeated by Ian Machado Garry late last year and he faces a stern test in the form of the Brazilian finisher Gabriel Bonfim at the Meta Apex this weekend.

Saturday's UFC Fight Night 278 card from Las Vegas, Nevada - including the main event showdown between Song Yadong and Deiveson Figueiredo - is scheduled to be broadcast live in the UK on TNT Sports 1.
Fans can also live stream the event on TNT Sports through HBO Max.

Saturday's event is scheduled to take place at the UFC's Las Vegas home, the Meta Apex.
With the UFC returning to the United States it is going to be a late night for UK fans, with coverage of the preliminary card on TNT Sports getting underway at 23:00 BST (15:00 PDT local time)
The five-round welterweight main event between Muhammad and Bonfim is scheduled to start around 03:30 BST (19:30 PDT).
