We take a look at the pre-tournament odds for Arthur Fery to win Wimbledon after the British tennis star reached the semi-finals at SW19.
The 23-year-old had never been beyond the second round on his three previous visits to Wimbledon, but has produced some incredible tennis to become the story of the tournament after delighting the home crowd with five sensational victories.
When Jack Draper and Emma Raducanu withdrew on the eve of the tournament and other British hopes fell in the early rounds, Fery has carried the weight of a nation and continued to defy expectations and progress to the last four.
The world number 114 came from a set down in each of his first three matches and after back-to-back four set victories over Damir Dzumhur and Otto Virtanen, Fery wowed the crowds on Court 18 as he beat Zizou Bergs on a fifth set match tiebreak to reach the last 16.
While it was hugely impressive to reach the fourth round, Fery stepped up another level on his Centre Court debut as he beat former world number three Grigor Dimitrov on another dramatic fifth set match tiebreak to reach the quarter-finals.
Next up for Fery was world number 10 Flavio Cobolli.
While the Italian was the heavy odds-on favourite to reach the last four, Fery had actually beaten Cobolli in straight sets at the Australian Open earlier this year and used that positive experience to flourish once again on one of the biggest stages in world tennis.
The world number 114 made the most of the home crowd as he celebrated every important point to pile the pressure on the 2026 French Open finalist and incredibly it ended up being a fairly routine 6-4 7-6 6-0 victory for the Brit.
After receiving a wildcard, Fery was priced up at 500/1 to win the Wimbledon title ahead of the tournament. His odds have shortened throughout the fortnight and after reaching the last four, he remains the clear outside but is now available at 20/1.
