What is the fewest goals conceded by a World Cup winning team?

On an historic night for Spain, they have also added another record to their list of incredible achievements - the fewest goals conceded by a World Cup winner.

After a relatively slow start to the tournament from an attacking point of view, Spain made it through to the latter stages with some magical moments and a solid defensive unit.

La Roja really hit the ground running in their sensational semi-final victory over France and followed that up with another fantastic display in the World Cup final.

Spain's defensive dominance was underlined by the fact Argentina didn't have a single shot on target throughout the whole 120 minutes of the final.

Goalkeeper Unai Simon performed admirably throughout the tournament and he was well protected by a terrific defence led by the likes of Marc Cucurella, Pedro Porro, Aymeric Laporte and Pau Cubarsi.
