Thomas Tuchel's inclusion of Djed Spence within his England squad caused plenty of intrigue prior to this summer's World Cup.
The Tottenham Hotspur man surprisingly got the nod ahead of the vastly more tried and trusted Real Madrid star Trent Alexander-Arnold.
But whilst his opening cameos in the United States saw him come under scrutiny from certain quarters, there's no doubt that he made his most telling impression to date in the Three Lions' dramatic World Cup quarter-final victory over Norway.
The 25-year-old stepped off the bench during the second half and played a key role in England's fortunes during the final stages of normal time and across the full duration of extra-time.
The powerful and athletic full-back wreaked havoc amongst the Norwegian rearguard, and was incredibly unlucky not to have earned his side a penalty after being upended by Oscar Bobb following a barnstorming burst into the box.
Whilst Jude Bellingham rightly took all of the post-match acclaim after notching his fifth and sixth goals of the tournament, England fans have since ensured that Spence's contribution have been rewarded too...
...in the shape of a play on the late Welsh singer Bonnie Tyler's classic hit, 'Total Eclipse of the Heart'.
The song has already been sung live on talkSPORT and Sky Sports over the last couple of days whilst it will likely reach the airwaves inside the Atlanta Stadium; the venue that England will lock horns with Argentina in on Wednesday in a titanic tussle for a spot in Sunday's showpiece final.
Plenty of fans are already up to speed with all of the lyrics from the song, but if you haven't quite got to grips with it just yet, then fear not.

Turn around, Djed Spence,
Every now again he’s called upon,
Turn around, Djed Spence,
Every now again he’s called upon,
England needs you now tonight,
England needs you more than ever,
If your broken jaw was tight,
Now it’s fully back together,
And you know you can play left or right,
Down the wing you’re so strong,
You take a player on and do a brilliant job,
You should’ve had a pen from being tackled by Bobb,
We really loved you tonight,,
Oh Djed you’re such a star tonight,
Oh Djed you’re such a star,
Once upon a time he was loaned out to Rennes,
Now he’s one of England’s best,
Solid in defence,
TOTAL ECLIPSE OF DJED SPENCE.
