Aston Villa have seen a loan offer for West Ham United full-back Aaron Wan-Bissaka rejected, according to a report.
The Villans are in the market for a new right-back this summer as they look to source a replacement for the departing Kosta Nedeljkovic who can provide competition for Matty Cash.
According to The Athletic, Villa approached West Ham with a straight loan for Wan-Bissaka, but that offer has been rejected by the Hammers.
West Ham set a £25million price tag on Wan-Bissaka this summer following the club's relegation from the Premier League and the east London outfit are unwilling to entertain loan offers for the 28-year-old.
Wan-Bissaka was one of few West Ham players to emerge with any credit from a disastrous campaign and the former Crystal Palace full-back shone on the World Cup stage for DR Congo.
He's made 65 appearances across two seasons for West Ham after joining from Manchester United in 2024 in a deal worth £15m.
Wan-Bissaka is yet to feature under Nuno Espirito Santo this term as he was omitted from the Hammers' matchday squad to face Portsmouth in the EFL Cup first round before missing the trip to Burnley on the opening weekend of the Championship season.
Kyle Walker-Peters started five of the last seven Premier League fixtures for West Ham last season and has now been deemed first-choice right-back at the London Stadium.
The arrival of Joel Veltman from Brighton also strengthens the right side of Nuno's defence, enabling Wan-Bissaka to depart if the right offer comes in.
Villa have already overhauled their left-back department over the last 12 months with Ian Maatsen having a season to bed in following his switch from Borussia Dortmund. Lucas Digne has departed for Paris Saint-Germain, with Matteo Ruggeri signed from Atletico Madrid as his replacement.
The Midlands outfit are currently working on a deal to sign Parma goalkeeper Zion Suzuki, while Villa are looking to strengthen their midfield options as Emery's options are depleted following the injury to Joao Gomes.
