Gonzalo Higuain remains the most expensive departure from Napoli following his €90m move to Juventus in 2016 - a transfer which also broke the record for the most money spent by an Italian club.

The striker was a huge success at Napoli and in the season leading up to his move to Juventus, he had equalled the record for the most goals scored in a Serie A campaign.

Despite the huge transfer fee, Higuain proved to be a superb signing for Juventus - helping the club win a domestic double in each of his first two seasons.

Higuain went on to have loan spells at AC Milan and Chelsea, before ending his career at Inter Miami and retiring in 2022.
