Sheffield United kick-start their pre-season preparations with a trip to Halifax Town on Saturday afternoon.

The Blades recovered from a poor start to finish 13th in the Championship last season.

More will be expected from Chris Wilder's side come August and they will be targeting a play-off place as a minimum.

Their opening pre-season game sees them travel to a Halifax side who narrowly missed out on the National League play-offs during the last campaign.
