Shane Long holds the record for the fastest goal ever scored in Premier League history when he broke the deadlock while playing for Southampton against Watford after just 7.69 seconds.
The former Republic Of Ireland international charged down a Craig Cathcart long ball from kick-off, running clean through on goal and lobbing Ben Foster to shock the Vicarage Road faithful.
His quickfire opener came less than eight seconds after the ref had blown his whistle for the start of the match, breaking the record for the fastest-ever Premier League strike that had stood for almost 20 years.
We take a look at the 10 fastest strikes in Premier League history...
Despite only just reaching double-figures across his long Premier League career, it was Ledley King who previously laid claim to the record.
The Tottenham centre-back put his side one goal to the good against Bradford City after just 9.82s in December 2000. It was also King's first-ever top-flight goal and came in at almost four seconds quicker than Dwight Yorke's finish for Aston Villa against Coventry in 1995.
Yorke's goal, which is now eighth on the all-time list, remains the fastest header ever scored in the Premier League.
Philip Billing's opener at the Emirates against Arsenal came after 9.11 seconds, making it the second-fastest goal scored in the history of the Premier League. Mikel Arteta's men were top of the league at the time, but were handed quite the shock when the Danish midfielder gave the Cherries an unlikely lead.
The Gunners recovered as Reiss Nelson ensured that his boyhood club took all three points when firing in a dramatic 97th minute winner.
