Despite playing just two first-class matches across his entire career, Tariq has carved out a rather lofty reputation for himself as one of the world's premier T20 slow bowlers. His unique round-arm action and stuttering run-up has made him a nightmare for batsman around the world.
In nine T20I matches for Pakistan, he is averaging a staggering 11.16 with the ball.
Challenging Tariq at the fore of the market is Afghan leggie Rashid Khan (11/1). Still just 26, Khan has been a leading short-format bowler throughout the entirety of his career and is gearing up for his fifth season in the Hundred.
Away from the slow bowlers, England pace trio Jofra Archer (12/1), Saqib Mahmood (18/1) and Sam Curran (18/1) all appear to hold solid claims this season. Curran, skipper of three-time winners MI London, sits third in the competition's all-time leading wicket-taking standings.
