A six-wicket victory over MI London at The Oval on Saturday guaranteed a place in the knockout stages for Trent Rockets and they will be chasing a seventh win in eight games against Southern Brave Men at Trent Bridge.
The Rockets will advance to the final if they win this closing clash following six wins in seven, which would put them in a strong position to secure a second Hundred title, having won the prize in 2022.
Trent lost their opening game against Birmingham but have not looked back since, recording six straight victories and are growing in confidence with openers Ben Duckett and Finn Allen leading the charge with the bat and Craig Overton and Lewis Gregory playing their part with the ball.
For Southern Brave, who won the inaugural competition in 2021, it has been a tough tournament and just two wins from seven matches means they are unable to qualify for the knockout phase.
Back-to-back defeats to Welsh Fire and Manchester Super Giants have sealed their fate and this looks a tall order for them against a team brimming with confidence.
Best Bet - Aneurin Donald top Trent Rockets run scorer @ 15/4
Alternative Bet - Marcus Stoinis over 40.5 player performance @ 5/6
Bet Builder - Aneurin Donald to score 20+ runs, Marcus Stoinis to score 10+ runs, Marcus Stoinis to take 1+ wickets & Craig Overton to take 1+ wickets @ 15/4
Best Bet: Aneurin Donald top Trent Rockets run scorer @ 15/4
Duckett has been leading the way with the bat for Trent but it is hard not to be impressed by the impact of Aneurin Donald, who has come into the team for the last three victories.
Coming in at three, Donald has been fast off the mark and has contributed with totals of 40, 17 and 23 despite facing a total of just 35 balls.
That shows how quickly Donald can score - he has had 14 boundaries from just 35 balls - and if Southern Brave can’t get rid of him early then he is likely to inflict a lot of damage.
Alternative Bet: Marcus Stoinis over 40.5 player performance @ 5/6
Southern Brave have underwhelmed in this season’s Hundred but, despite their struggles, Australian international Marcus Stoinis is one who can hold his head high.
Southern Brave have a formidable bowling attack on paper but Stoinis has led by example, taking nine wickets in six matches.
Stoinis has also enjoyed knocks of 31, 34, 55 and 22 with the bat, showing the power he possesses, and that makes him of strong interest in the player performance market.
One point is awarded per run, 20 per wicket and ten points per catch, with Stoinis having cleared 40.5 in five of his six tournament appearances.
Donald has scored 80 runs in just three innings for Trent Rockets and could have another starring role to play.
Stoinis has been the one shining light in a poor campaign for Southern Brave, taking nine wickets in six matches and contributing 149 runs. Another wicket and 10 runs should be well within his compass.
Craig Overton has taken seven wickets in as many games for Trent and should be able to claim another scalp.

Mohammad Amir picked up an injury in the win over Birmingham Phoenix two outings ago, so Ben Sanderson should deputise just as he did against MI London last time out.
Otherwise, the Rockets have a settled side with Aneurin Donald having seemingly now locked down a place in the top order after three impressive performances.
Expected Trent Rockets XI: Ben Duckett, Finn Allen, Aneurin Donald, Sam Billings (c & wk), Tim David, Mitchell Santner, Lewis Gregory, Craig Overton, Calvin Harrison, Matt Henry, Ben Sanderson.
Ben McKinney was replaced at the top of the order by Michael Pepper against Manchester Super Giants most recently and Moeen Ali continues to keep his place despite being in poor form with the bat.
Marcus Stoinis has been a standout performer for Southern Brave and forms a strong bowling attack alongside Chris Jordan, Adil Rashid, Luke Wood and Jofra Archer.
Expected Southern Brave XI: Michael Pepper, Jamie Smith (wk), Tristan Stubbs, Moeen Ali, Marcus Stoinis, David Miller, Nikhil Chaudhary, Chris Jordan (c), Adil Rashid, Luke Wood, Jofra Archer.
