We take a look at the top 10 teams to have conceded the most La Liga goals since the 2000/01 season.
Cristiano Ronaldo, Lionel Messi, Luis Suarez and Neymar are just a select few out of the incredible attacking talent that the Spanish top-flight has harboured since the turn of the century; so it's easy to see why sides would concede goals in large quantities.
Outside of the big three -- Real Madrid, Barcelona and Atletico Madrid -- clubs who feature high on the list do so by virtue of spending a lot of time in the division.
Espanyol top the list having conceded a whopping 1,298 goals, however, have played 25 seasons in La Liga since the turn of the century, the same as Atleti and more than Real Sociedad and Real Betis. Those two sides aren't safe from the top 10 either and rank number three and number eight on the list respectively.
Having never been relegated from La Liga this century, runner-up is reserved for Basque outfit Athletic Bilbao, who aren't too far off top spot with 1,279 goals shipped across the 27 seasons they've spent in the top league.
Down in sixth is Sevilla, a club that both Messi and Ronaldo enjoyed playing against. Both have scored more goals against Sevilla than any other side in their career; Messi netting 38 times and Ronaldo 27.
