Minnie Hauk (1/2) looks the one to beat in the Tattersalls Gold Cup on Sunday.
The three-time Group 1 winner ended her season with a disappointing sixth in the Breeders' Cup Turf last season but returned to winning ways on reappearance earlier this month.
Despite victories in the Oaks, Irish Oaks and Yorkshire Oaks, there is a chance that her best performance to date came when runner-up to Daryz in the Prix de l'Arc de Triomphe at Longchamp last autumn. A repeat of that would surely see her take home the spoils here.
However, it might not be that straightforward. The extra two furlongs contested in the Arc look like a big help to her and she will have to show a little more speed here.
Sheikh Ahmed Al Maktoum is providing much of the competition here in the form of Saddadd (9/2) and Almaqam (13/2).
The former, trained by Roger Varian, was absolutely faultless when making a winning return to the track in the bet365 Gordon Richards Stakes at Sandown, quickening smartly to move clear of King Of Cities and Almeric at the finish.
Almaqam, on the other hand, is yet to really show what he can do at the very top level but there is a though that he could be very special indeed.
Finally, of the leading contenders, Bay City Roller (8/1) could be in with a chance of handing trainer George Scott two Group 1 victories within the space of a week.
Although he was defeated at Chester in the Huxley Stakes, he travelled into the race much better than his eventual conqueror Lambourn and might be able to improve on that finishing effort with a run under his belt.
