There are four race meetings scheduled to take place across Britain on Tuesday; with a pair of afternoon Flat cards followed by two evening fixtures, one of which is on the level.
Racing Post tipster Marcus Buckland has provided his three best bets for the day’s action, with two selections from Ffos Las and one from Newbury.
14:30 Ffos Las - Lohoobb @ 11/4
15:30 Ffos Las - English Time @ 5/6
19:00 Newbury - Lahan Kingman @ 13/2
14:30 Ffos Las - Lohoobb @ 11/4
The Owen Burrows-trained Lohoobb has been a beaten favourite on all three of his starts so far this year, but he’s performed with credit on each occasion and looks worthy of another chance now that he reverts to sprinting.
The selection is closely related to mile Group 3 winner Maamora and is a half-brother to three over individual scorers, two of those rated in excess of 100, so is more than entitled to winning races off his current official rating of just 74.
The three-year-old has repeatedly run to Racing Post Ratings of in and around his mark, posting a career best of 78 when runner-up over 7f at Lingfield last month.
He can be keen in his races, as was the case at Sandown last time, so there’s a suspicion he’ll be well served by this drop back to 6f - a distance he proved competitive over in novice company last season.
Burrows is 3-13 with his runners over the past fortnight.
15:30 Ffos Las - English Time @ 5/6
Harry Charlton’s English Time was only just collared by a potentially smart sort at Haydock last time and a reproduction of that in what appears a lesser race, should see him collect.
The Hello Youmzain colt has shown improvement each time he has set foot on the racecourse, running to Racing Post Ratings of 70 when finishing in the mid-division on his debut at Newmarket, 75 when fourth at Newbury and 84 at Haydock a little over two weeks ago.
The form of his Newbury run reads exceptionally well, William Haggas’s unbeaten winner Extremely Zain since going on to land a valuable York handicap in good style off an official mark of 93.
The selection was only beaten a neck last time by the now 88-rated Shipbourne and it’s unlikely he faces anything of that calibre on this occasion.
The once-raced Wid will likely give him most to think about.
19:00 Newbury - Lahan Kingman @ 13/2
This has a really competitive look to it, the vast majority of the field open to improvement, including the Richard Hughes-trained Lahan Kingman, who makes her handicap debut off a potentially lenient mark of 72.
The Jabar Abdullah-owned three-year-old has run only once on turf in her three outings so far, showing huge promise on her debut over 6f at this course last August when third behind last week’s Coronation Stakes second, Touleen.
Runner-up in two AW outings this year, she’s only still run to Racing Post Ratings in the low 60s but could very well bounce back now reverting to turf, aided by first-time blinkers.
