Superstar filly Sun Goddess capped off a phenomenal season by landing the Breeders’ Cup Juvenile Fillies Turf for Aidan O'Brien.
Stationed in stall nine, Sun Goddess demonstrated why she's considered one of the best O'Brien has ever trained as Ryan Moore guided the Sioux Nation filly to an emphatic triumph at Keeneland.
The win marks her sixth in succession with three Group Ones along the way, including the Cheveley Park Stakes, Moyglare Stakes and Phoenix Stakes.
Sun Goddess is now priced as the 11/8 favourite to win the 1000 Guineas in May next year.
The victory extended O'Brien's outright record as the most successful trainer in Breeders' Cup history as he claimed his 22nd win at the prestigious meeting.
While Sun Goddess has not yet been confirmed for the Guineas, her success Stateside has raised expectation of a showdown against Musical Times, especially given O'Brien saddled his eighth winner in the classic race with True Love earlier this year.
As Ballydoyle Stables basked in another success, winning jockey Moore believes there is still more to come from Sun Goddess.
Moore said: "What she's done this year is very unique. She's won four Group 1s in her ninth start, and today was her first run round a bend I think.
"There's a lot of things that are new to her and yet she's ended up sitting on the pace, which was very ordinary. It was only a short trip but it felt like a long way for her.
"It's hard to know where the bottom of her is but we're so delighted with her this year and hopefully she'll continue next year.
"I don't think you've seen the best of her today with the way the track is. She was in front earlier than she's ever been, so I was delighted that she can do different things."
