Championship League Snooker is a unique fixture on the World Snooker Tour, which blends round-robin play with knockout action in the latter stages.
Known for its early-season timing and distinctive format in the ranked competition, the event offers players an opportunity to hit the ground running for the 2025/26 campaign.
First staged in 2008, Championship League Snooker has grown into a respected tournament that now features 128 tour players in the ranked event.
Here’s everything you need to know ahead of the 2025 instalment of this growing competition.
Viewers in the UK and Ireland, or in any country without a listed broadcaster, can watch Table 1 action live on the Matchroom Pool YouTube channel.
Table 2 matches will be streamed live on the Matchroom Multi Sport YouTube channel.
The 2025 Championship League Snooker tournament will take place at Mattioli Arena in Leicester between 30th June and 23rd July 2025.
Stage 1 action starts on 30th June and finishes on 5th July, which involves 32 groups of four players, with two groups played each day across two tables.
The player who tops each group table will progress to Stage 2, which goes on from 18th July to 22nd July.
The 32 group winners split into eight further groups of four, with two groups per day, played over two tables.
Eight group winners then progress to Stage 3, which will be played on 23rd July, with the two winners of these two groups going on to play the final on 23rd July.
This summer will see the ranking event of the Championship League Snooker competition take centre stage.
While the invitational competition goes back to 2008, the ranking event was started in 2020 and four of the five previous winners have hailed from England, including defending champion Ali Carter.
With 128 tour players descending on Leicester, many of the best in the business will feature in the East Midlands over the coming weeks.
Carter is the defending champion and ranked at No.17 in the world and will get an opportunity to make it back-to-back titles in this ranked event for the first time.
Judd Trump, a three-time winner of the Championship League Snooker invitational event, is currently the top-ranked player in the world and will be expected to be in the mix come the business end of this tournament.
Trump made the very first final of the ranked competition back in 2020 but suffered a 3-1 defeat to Kyren Wilson in Milton Keynes.
The great Ronnie O’Sullivan is expected to feature in this event, while the likes of Mark Selby and Zhao Xintong will also fancy their chances of going all the way in Leicester.
