Sea The Stars is now 19 years old and made his racecourse debut as a two-year-old at the Curragh.
Making his debut at the Curragh on 13th July 2008, Sea The Stars suffered the only defeat of his career to Driving Snow in a maiden.
He quickly put this behind him with success at Leopardstown before rounding off his two-year-old season clinching the Beresford Stakes back at the Curragh.
His first start at three came in the 2000 Guineas where he landed the first of his two Classic wins as his headed to Epsom for his next race.
Going off at 11/4, Sea The Stars sat stalking the leaders before going clear with one furlong to go, leaving Fame And Glory a well beaten second.
He would stay in England for his next two contests, taking out the Group 1 Eclipse and Juddmonte International with relative ease.
A return to Ireland and a tilt at the Irish Champion Stakes would bring out arguably the greatest performance of his career.
Fame And Glory was again a brave opponent in defeat but was no match for Sea The Stars as Mick Kinane pushed him out to land a seventh straight win.
Such was the commanding nature of this success, Sea The Stars was sent off a 4/6 favourite in the Prix de l'Arc de Triomphe.
Breaking from stall six, the early signs were not all that positive for Sea The Stars as he dropped to ninth place in the opening stages of the race but Mick Kinane conjured up a mesmeric ride to fire his mount clear by the time they hit the Longchamp line.
Sea The Stars was owned and bred by Christopher Tsui.
Now standing at Gilltown Stud, he commands a lofty stud fee of €250,000 and is responsible for top class progeny such as Baaeed, Crystal Ocean, Hukum and Stradivarius.
Sea The Stars was trained by John Oxx, a 35-time Group 1 winner.
He was awarded a peak rating of 136 for his victory in the Prix de l'Arc de Triomphe.
His near perfect record earned him £4,417,708 in prize money.
