Australia have lost five Test matches in a row going into Saturday’s Nations Championship clash with France in Brisbane.
France, the back-to-back Six Nations winners, started their campaign with a narrow defeat to New Zealand and will be looking to extend an impressive run against the Wallabies.
Les Bleus have defeated Australia in their last three meetings, including a 48-33 win at the Stade de France last November.

Despite the home advantage, Australia will go into Saturday’s clash as underdogs and injuries have not helped their preparations.
Both Ben Donaldson and Carter Gordon suffered calf problems in the defeat to Ireland, so Joe Schmidt has handed a start to debutant Declan Meredith at fly-half.
That will be a concern for Wallabies fans and backers, especially as France will be able to call upon their players who were involved in the latter stages of the Top 14.
Les Bleus have always been an attacking team but under coach Fabien Galthie, the points have been flowing in recent seasons.
France have scored 243 points across their six Tests in 2026, an average of 40.5 points per game, while they have reached the 40-point mark in their last two meetings with Australia.
Alternative Bet: First Tryscorer: Theo Attisogbe @ 10/1
France ran in four tries in their defeat to the All Blacks in Christchurch last weekend, with Theo Attisogbe among those crossing the whitewash.
The 21-year-old only made his debut for his country in July 2024, when he scored in the 28-13 victory over Argentina in Mendoza.
Attisogbe, who plays his club rugby for Top 14 outfit Pau, has already made a big impact at international level.
The winger has notched 10 tries for Les Bleus, with five of those having been scored outside of France.

Despite defeats to Ireland and France, Australia have scored 30+ points in both matches and will look to start Saturday’s clash on the front foot to get the fans behind them.
The points have also been flowing for Les Bleus, who have scored 30 or more points in their last four internationals.
It’s worth noting that the Wallabies were 24-19 ahead against Ireland at half-time, having scored two tries inside the first 14 minutes.
The Aussies also scored the first try when these two teams last met in November, when Matt Faessler crossed after just two minutes.
The return of Romain Ntamack will be a major plus for the Europeans, with the Toulouse man set to win a 44th cap for his country.
With his experience on the international stage, he will feel confident of outshining fellow fly-half Meredith, who is making his Australia debut.
