Punters take advantage of bet365 offers on World Cup opening night

bet365 customers took full advantage of the offers around the 2026 World Cup on the opening night as Mexico and South Korea got off to winning starts.

The World Cup co-hosts got off to a blistering start, taking the lead against South Africa with Julian Quinones putting them ahead inside 10 minutes before Yaya Sithole was sent off for a professional foul shortly after the break.

Home hero Raul Jimenez then doubled Mexico's lead to put the result beyond doubt, with Themba Zwane given a straight red for striking Roberto Alvarado.

South Korea quickly found a deserved equaliser through Hwang In-beom before pushing for a winner.
