Manchester United kicked off their European campaign with a dominant win over Sabah FK at Old Trafford.
Thursday's fixture marked United's first UEFA Champions League game and they comfortably secured all three points.
The game marked Sabah's first-ever fixture in the competition, as the Azerbaijani side made history as the youngest-ever team to feature in Europe's premier cup competition.
While United were expected to take control of proceedings from the outset, the visitors remained solid in the early going before Matheus Cunha opened the scoring on 27 minutes.
Bruno Fernandes made it two shortly after and Benjamin Sesko added a third on the brink of half time.
United continued to press after the interval and were rewarded for their efforts when Lisandro Martinez bundled home from close range after Joshua Zirzkee's inventive flick was denied.
While tougher tests no doubt lay ahead for Michael Carrick's side, he can be pleased that they lived up to their billing and got off to a winning start.
