Eddie Nketiah has been approached by Ghana to switch his international allegiance to the African nation.
Ghana have long maintained an interest in Nketiah, with him eligible to represent Black Stars internationally due to his parents being born there.
While previous attempts are reported to have been politely declined by the 27-year-old, it appears that Ghana have ramped up their interest of late.
Reports are circulating that the CAF nation have made a fresh approach in recent weeks, with reports in Ghana claiming that documentation is currently readied to submit to FIFA as Nketiah considers his options.
The Crystal Palace striker represented England at multiple youth levels and is the top scorer in the history of England's U21 side with 16 goals in 17 appearances.
His solitary senior cap came in 2023 as he replaced Ollie Watkins in the closing stages of a friendly win over Australia at Wembley Stadium.
In the years since Nketiah has found himself beneath both Watkins and Ivan Toney in the pecking order as cover for Three Lions captain Harry Kane.
FIFA regulations state that for a player to receive clearance to switch international allegiances they must not have made more than three competitive appearances for a single nation before turning 21.
As such, the option to switch appears to be available to the former Arsenal star, though it remains to be seen whether he will consider a move.
After his first two seasons at Selhurst Park were disrupted by injury, Nketiah looks to have returned to the first-team fold under new Palace boss Pierre Sage.
