2026 Players Championship winner Cameron Young is the most backed player to add the coveted PGA Championship title to his honours list as the pristine Aronimink Golf Club prepares to host the 2026 staging of the event.
The 28-year-old is enjoying a stellar campaign, firstly reigning supreme at TPC Sawgrass in March before storming his way to another first place finish in the inaugural Cadillac Championship.
He eased to a six-stroke victory at Trump National by virtue of his outstanding 19-under par finish on the back of his far more dramatic triumph at Ponte Vedra Beach, in which he edged out Matt Fitzpatrick by a solitary shot.
Now, he has set his sights on landing his first major at the PGA Championship victory this week, with bet365's Steve Freeth revealing the New York native has received plenty of backing.
"Serial winners Scottie Scheffler and Rory McIlroy dominate the outright betting, but it’s the major-less Cameron Young who has attracted the most business so far this week," he said.
"Ten percent of slips being placed on the recent Players/Cadillac Championship winner have come in for the American.
“He’s been in and around the leaderboards of all four majors during his career without tasting success, but his current form has him a major contender in more ways than one.”
Player | Percentage of Slips | Odds |
Cameron Young | 10% | 11/1 |
Matt Fitzpatrick | 7% | 22/1 |
Justin Rose | 6% | 45/1 |
Rory McIlroy | 6% | 17/2 |
