Peterborough United are reportedly showing interest in a move for Southend United goalkeeper Collin Andeng-Ndi.
According to Alan Swann of the Peterborough Telegraph, the Posh have made Andeng-Ndi their number one target to deputise for current starting goalkeeper Alex Bass.
The 22 year-old is out of contract at the end of the month, meaning that Peterborough could secure his services on a free transfer.
Having joined Southend United from Basildon United in 2021, the Cameroonian stopper firmly established himself as the National League side's number one.
Over the course of his five years with the club, Andeng-Ndi made 117 appearances and conceded just 119 goals, keeping 48 clean sheets.
He was also named as man of the match in Southend's FA Trophy Final win over Wealdstone at Wembley, with saw them win 4-2 on penalties after a 0-0 draw at the end of extra time.
Last season, the Cameroonian made 35 appearances in the National League, keeping 13 clean sheets and conceding 33 goals.
The report from the Peterborough Telegraph notes that Peterborough are yet to comment on the links to the 22 year-old goalkeeper.
Posh will be looking to improve on their 18th place finish in League One last season, which saw them sit comfortably above the relegation zone for the majority of the campaign.
The club have also been accredited with an interest in young Wrexham attacking midfielder Harry Ashfield, but face competition from a number of third tier rivals for his signature.
