Brentford remain in the hunt to sign West Ham United left-back El Hadji Malick Diouf before the transfer window shuts.
Journalist Pete O'Rourke has reported that Brentford are considering making a £37 million offer for the Championship defender.
Brentford have had three previous bids rejected for the player but they are refusing to call time on their pursuit.
It is believed that Diouf is keen to return to the Premier League and the deal would see West Ham make a substantial profit on the £19 million fee they paid Slavia Prague last summer.
Diouf featured 32 times for West Ham in the Premier League last season and was one of the club's standout performers.
The 21-year-old appears to have a high ceiling and Brentford manager Keith Andrews is keen to see the signing completed in the coming days.
Andrews enjoyed an excellent first season at Brentford in 2025/26 and they have started the new campaign with a 3-0 win over Tottenham Hotspur.
Diouf has played just four minutes in West Ham's opening two Championship fixtures and the potential move could suit all parties.
