Phil Taylor boasts a remarkable 14 PDC World Darts Championship titles, but which other players have established themselves as multiple winners of the biggest prize in the sport?
Phil Taylor has captured the PDC World Darts Championship title a remarkable 14 times, and it's a record that is highly unlikely to ever be beaten.
'The Power' landed his first title back in 1995, and went on to lift the trophy 13 more times prior to his retirement in 2013, where he succumbed to defeat in the showpiece final at the hands of Rob Cross.
Taylor's dominance and consistency at the oche was truly unparalleled, and even though there will be those that question the level of opposition in the late 90s and early 00s, make no mistake about it, 14 PDC titles is a truly astronomical figure - especially when you consider he only appeared in the event 25 times.
His win ratio stands at almost 50 percent, and that number could have been even greater had he managed to prevail in any of the five other finals in which he lost.
Such is the difficulty of capture world titles, only five other players have managed to win the PDC World Darts Championship on more than one occasion.
Michael van Gerwen, who many tipped to reach 10 world crowns during his early years, currently sits second in the all-time winners list on three, whilst Gary Anderson, Adrian Lewis, John Part and Peter Wright have all landed the double.
Six other players have lifted the trophy once, those being Dennis Priestly, Raymond van Barneveld, Rob Cross, Gerwyn Price, Michael Smith and Luke Humphries.

It goes without saying that 14-time PDC World Darts Championship winner Phil 'The Power' Taylor is the player to have graced the world final on the most occasions.
His 14 successes coupled with five runners-up spots means he featured in a record breaking 19 PDC World Darts Championship finals during his illustrious playing career.
Michael van Gerwen has reached the final on six occasions, one more than both Gary Anderson and Dennis 'The Menace'; Priestly, who have featured in five.
Of all the players to have featured in more than one PDC World Darts Championship final, only one has failed to capture the coveted crown - that being Peter Manley.
'One Dart' progressed through to the final in each of the 1999, 2002 and 2006 editions of the competition, but agonisingly succumbed to defeat in all three.
