Former Crystal Palace boss Oliver Glasner is set to take over from Vitor Pereira at Nottingham Forest.
Pereira only took over at the City Ground on 15th February 2026 and enjoyed a good run to the end of the season, with Forest taking the ninth most points in the Premier League following his appointment, with the Tricky Trees reaching the Europa League semi-finals.
It was reported on Wednesday afternoon that Forest could part ways with the Portuguese which now appears to be the case.
The Telegraph's Jason Burt reported: "Oliver Glasner will succeed Vitor Pereira with the Portuguese head coach expected to leave Nottingham Forest.
"Telegraph Sport understands that discussions are ongoing about Pereira’s future but the likelihood is he will not carry on."
While Glasner achieved great things with Crystal Palace, winning the FA Cup, Community Shield and Conference League, the Austrian cut a frustrated figure throughout his final season at Selhurst Park, frequently criticising the running of the club, specifically the sale of Marc Guehi in January.
It makes for a fascinating prospect with the outspoken Glasner set to work under one of football's most volatile owners. Evangelos Marinakis sacked Nuno Espirito just weeks into the new season, with successor Ange Postecoglou lasting only six weeks. Sean Dyche was in the hotseat for just over three months before he was sacked, with Pereira taking the reigns as the club's fourth permanent manager of the season.
